What is the difference between a Retrieval Request and a Chargeback?

A Retrieval Request is a request for information from the card issuer on behalf of their cardholder; it does not carry any financial loss. A Chargeback can be for various reasons, also including a request for information, but the issuer passes the debit with the dispute.
