I have been charged extra by a hotel, cruise ship or car-hire company. What can I do?

If the company has not made you aware of why they have taken a further payment, we may be able to claim the amount back from the company. You need to try to contact the company first to see if they are able to provide you with a reason for the extra payment. The company may be able to provide a valid reason or may provide you with a refund themselves. If the company is not willing to assist, we may be able to help.

Please either call our Disputes Team on 0800 008 008* or email GCPDisputes@barclaycard.co.uk** if you haven't been informed of a payment being taken from your account.

It will help your case if you are able to tell us how you have tried to resolve the dispute with the company as this may assist in the claim.

* Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. View our call charges.

** Please include your surname and the last 12 digits of your card number in the email subject line. For security, please do not use the full 16 digit card number.
