What are pending transactions?

Pending transactions are card transactions you’ve authorised that haven’t been processed to your account. A transaction can only be disputed once it shows on your statement. When you use certain merchants for the first time or to authorise a new card, they may request authorisation for £1 to verify the card. However they may not process this transaction and you shouldn't see it as a debit on your statement.
