Can I use my Barclaycard for gambling, and what are the charges?

From 14th April 2020 as a result of legislation changes in the UK you'll no longer be able to use any credit card for gambling. This applies to all online and offline gambling. Payments made face-to-face for lotteries are excluded and can still be paid for using a credit card.

Previously, you paid the same interest rate as you did for cash, when you used your card for gambling, which is charged from the date of your transaction. This is charged daily, from the date we added the transaction to your account, until you've repaid your cash balance in full. You also paid a percentage fee, This is typically 2.99%, which was our standard rate, but there are some variations depending on the credit card you have. You'll find all the information you need in the terms and conditions on your monthly statement.
