Why are you cancelling my policy?
Together with Monument – the provider of the insurance – we've made a decision to withdraw our payment protection and income protection products. This decision was not taken lightly and our regulators are aware of these changes.
Can I carry on paying for my policy if I want to keep it?
It won't be possible to keep your policy because we will no longer offer this cover. Unfortunately, we don't have an alternative product to offer you, and neither does Monument.

When will my last premium be collected?

Your policy will automatically end on 30 June 2023. You'll be covered until this date.
Why did you collect a premium in June?
You pay for your policy at the end of each month, so the payment you made at the end of June paid for your cover throughout June. This means that you can make a claim up to the end of 30 June 2023.

What will happen to any claims I've made?
If you have an existing claim, it’ll be assessed as normal for the duration of your claim, subject to your maximum claim period. You'll still need to continue to meet the conditions and criteria in your policy document.
Can I submit a new claim?
If the event you're claiming for happened before the policy end date, then you might still be able to claim. Examples of claim events include the date you were made unemployed, or had your accident, or absence from work.
If the claim event happened after the policy end date, then you won't be covered because your policy closed on 30 June 2023. This applies to all policies except Barclaycard PPI.
